Ghana Fitness, Wellness & Nutrition Awards

About

This unique awards scheme aims to, for the very first time in Ghana, identify and publicly recognize the most outstanding fitness and wellness products and services in Ghana and the private enterprises and public institutions that provide them.  To this end the awards will identify and recognize the most useful and accessible products and services in Ghana that contribute toward the physical fitness and wellness of individuals, households and enterprises that use them. Importantly this includes nutritional products as well.

Awards Rationale

The Ghana Fitness, Wellness and Nutrition Awards aim to create awareness of the need for prudent physical fitness and wellness practices in Ghana and the need to patronage the products and services on offer towards achieving this. It also seeks to promote the adherence to healthy nutritional habits and practices.

This is part of the wider effort to promote proactive preventive health in Ghana rather than reactive curative health. This is crucial because Ghana lacks the healthcare resources, both human and material to effectively cope with curative health requirements, even at their current levels. The ongoing out break of the COVID 19 pandemic illustrates the fragility of Ghana’s medical response capacities vividly.
